Mel Bolton

With nearly 15 years of public relations experience, Mel has a broad base of communications and editorial skills in the B2C and B2B arenas. Most recently, she helped lead the launch of Findery, a new social discovery platform founded by Caterina Fake, and GemShare, an iPhone app that creates a shared rolodex of the best recommendations for everyday needs. She also leads Zillow’s mobile and tech PR, and marketing for Glympse.

Mel has worked with a wide-variety of companies, ranging from start-ups to major brands, and in many industries, including travel, consumer Internet, mobile, search, social media, finance, venture capital, and non-profit. Some of these include Ask.com, Hotwire, IAC, Visa, Yahoo!, Merrill Lynch and Sony. She previously served as an advisory board member for Girls in Tech, the social enterprise focused on empowering and elevating the status of women in technology.

Mel resides in Berkeley, Calif. with her husband and two boys. When not working, she is dreaming about far off exotic places and being a food & wine enthusiast, a Mommy Blogger, long-distance runner and newbie triathlete.
