Kathie Gonzalez is a senior communications strategist with more than 16 years of corporate and agency experience spanning a variety of industries, including consumer tech, e-commerce, online travel, adventure / ski, hotel, tourism, the fine arts and nonprofits.
Prior to LyonSHARE, Kathie served as public relations director for Barnhart Communications in Denver, providing PR and social media support for Wyoming Tourism, The Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel, The Colorado Symphony, History Colorado, and Boulder Ice Cream, among others. Previously she was director of corporate communications for DISH Network, where she was responsible for all consumer and trade media relations, social media, crisis communications, investor and analyst relations, public affairs, internal communications and broadcast production. Prior to DISH Network, she was communications manager for Cendant Travel, where she spearheaded internal and external communications efforts for the division’s two consumer tech travel brands, CheapTickets and Lodging.com, and helped with the acquisition of Orbitz. Kathie began her PR career in the travel group of global firm Weber Shandwick in New York City for clients such as Marriott, Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, The Islands Of The Bahamas, Singapore Airlines, Atlantic City, Outward Bound and iExplore.
Kathie lives in New York with her husband and two children. In her spare time she serves as an Odyssey of the Mind coach and on the board of directors for the Stillwater Educational Foundation and The Creative Place International.
