Dawn Soper Lyon

Dawn has been running communications departments and programs for more than two decades. She began her career in-house, most recently serving as vice president of global communications for eBay, and previously was vice president of communications and public affairs for Cendant Travel (now known as Travelport). She also held senior positions at CheapTickets, Chevron, and Amtrak. She transitioned to consulting as senior vice president of consumer marketing for Fleishman Hilliard, where she served as co-chair of the global travel practice and lead on Expedia, Hotwire, and Yahoo! Accounts before founding LyonSHARE in 2004 to create the consulting firm she always wanted as a client.

Dawn has launched B2C and B2B brands and products with global attention across a variety of sectors and has directly managed integrated communications for about 25 M&A events, including Zillow’s acquisition of Trulia and Chevron’s acquisition of Texaco. She has helped companies create value propositions and go-to-market strategies, achieve top-tier media placements, navigate IPOs and other exits, and manage reputational and operational crises.

As the head of LyonSHARE, she is strategically involved with all clients, including Zillow, Glassdoor, Glympse, Battery Ventures, Findery, Liftopia, Front Desk, GemShare, UNow, prAna, PhoCusWright, and more.

Dawn lives with her husband in Mill Valley, Calif. When she’s not working you can find her on her bike, or planning her next travel adventure.
